gstHey,
my main board is doing everything do drive me crazy.
Maybe someone has an idea whats wrong and how to fix it.
My System,
MB DP67BG
Core I5 2500K
Radeon HD 4870
So the Problem:
I wanted to upgrade my ram from 2x2GB to 2x2GB and 2x4GB (2GB sticks Kingston KVR1333D3N9K2/4G, 4GB sticks Kingston KVR1333D3N9/4G)
The System worked fine with 2x2GB sticks in DIMM1 and 2 (the blue ones)
I changed the 2GB into 3 and 4 (the black ones) and put the 4GB into 1 and 2 (the blue ones)
The Motherboard gave me some error Messages basically saying there is a Problem with ram. I think it was error 28? but I am not sure. So I updated the BIOS to the newest Version hoping that would help, but it didn't. I also made a reset of the bios, both with the Pins and the battery did not help.
Only the error changed to 27 when I have more than 1 stick of ram in the Mainboard.
So the Status now is,
I can put 1 stick of ram into the first Slot and it works (every ram stick works)
As soon as I put another ram (additional to stick in Slot 1) into the 2 or 4 Slot i receive three beeps and error message 27 and the pc restarts after about 3sec.
When ,I additionally to stick in 1, put a stick in Slot 3 the pc starts but does not find the extra ram.
When I put a stick into 2,3 or 4 alone it does not work (error 27)
My BIOS Memory Settings are set on automatic means 1333 9-9-9-24 1,5V that is what the ram is supposed to have.
I tried with 1,65V but didn't make any difference.
So I really somebody has an idea how to fix it as I really want the extra ram.
cheers,
Robert
