Dell Inspiron 15R SE 7520
Windows 7 Home Premium (SP1) 64 bit, Fresh install using stock Win7 x64 DVD (i.e not a Dell OEM install)
Intel HD Graphics 4000 (Driver version 9.17.10.2867)
Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 (Driver version 15.2.0.0)
Intel Wireless Display Software (version 3.5.40.0)
Intel Widi Widget (version 3.5.40.0)
Netgear Neo TV 300SL (NTV300SL, running latest firmware) connected to one of the HDMI inputs on a Panasonic P58 S10 TV
This is what I do:
a. Run the "Widi" App on the NTV300SL, it says "Waiting for connection"
b. Open up "Intel Wireless Display" on the laptop, it lists my NTV as an adapter, I click connect, it connects successfully
c. On the TV screen the NTV app reports "connected", but the screen immediately goes black (not blank, mind you).
Now
1. When I use the Widi Widget to display any program running on the laptop (say firefox or Windows media player) on the TV, I get no error, but TV screen remains black
2. When I try to "extend" or "duplicate" windows desktop, again I get no errors but the TV screen is black. The only difference in this case is that I can see/move the mouse pointer on the TV screen, which remains black otherwise.
3. Laptop connected directly to the TV works just fine (at full 1080p resolution 1920x1080)
4. NTV is able to display other apps (like netflix/hulu) on the TV properly (when Widi is not active).
5. On the TaskMgr->Networking screen I see a new wireless connection connected at 65-130Mbits/sec and transmitting at ~1MBytes/sec.
I'm not sure what to try next. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
