I've just moved on from an AMD X4 955 Black Edition to an Intel i7 3770k and so far my experience with Intel has been completely terrible.
I've came across many issues so far during the 3 days I've had my Intel setup and so far managed to resolve all except the following.
The problem is the screen jitters when an application is open in full screen, text shakes and goes blurry as a monitor with a incorrect refresh rate would do & parts of the application appear to be going off screen upwards.
When I use a HDMI cable to connect my monitor to my computer, Intel® Graphics and Media Control Panel detects my monitor as a 'Digital Television' and detects the default refresh rate at 59HZ. My monitor is not a 'Digital Television' and it runs 1920x1080 @ 60HZ Full HD. Whereas when I connect with a DVI cable everything is perfect, no jittery effect in full screen applications, text is perfect & Intel® Graphics and Media Control Panel detects my monitor as a 'Digital Display' as it should.
Back when I had my AMD this sort of affect in full screen was simply avoided by unchecking the 'Morphological Anti-Aliasing' feature in AMD Catalyst™ Control Center.
Another problem is my friend has a similar build as I do, and he is able to handle many games flawlessly in high settings using his i7 3770k integrated Intel HD4000, whereas I'm unable to even handle lowest settings in the same games. The difference between our builds is that I have a better power-supply and motherboard so nothing too big of a difference.
I'll post specifications of my system below & a picture of my Intel® Graphics and Media Control Panel.
