Hi!
My parents bought a hp pavilion g6 2220so notebook, which has intels core i5-3210m processor and intel hd graphics 4000. The netcard was not produced by intel, but was replaced with an Intel Wireless Centrino Advanced-N 6235...The preinstalled system was win7 64-bit, which was upgraded to win8-pro 64-bit...Intel widi was not preinstalled (obviously since the netcard was not compatible)
Judging from the specs, should the computer be able to connect to the tv through widi (samsung c6905)?
As a tv-adapter we are using belkins screencast...When we start widi on the notebook, it can see the tv-adapter, but when we try connect it writes something like (my translation from danish):
"The step of the pairing process will temporarily disable your connection to the wireless acces point for a couple of minutes. When the pairing proces is done, the connection will be reestablished. Do you wish continue?"
And when we click yes, then after some time it simply gives a message (translated from danish):
"Cannot connect to external screen.
Try to restart the program. Restart the adapter or the computer, if the problem appears again."
However restarting does not help. I have tried to remove all the software related to the wireless networking (wireless pro driver, bluetooth driver, dash board, widi) and resinstalling it again, but without any effect.
I know that the Belkin adapter is working, because we tried to connect with another notebook and there were no problems at all...And by doing that we also updated the adapter-firmware...
Do you have some advice to what we can try to do? I am puzzled by the fact that during the connection it says that it will disconnect from the acces point (as quoted above), because this does not appear on my away notebook during pairing or with the other notebook we tried...
Any help would be appreciated!
All the best
Nikolaj
