I recently upgraded my motherboard to an Asus Prime Z370-A which I specifically purchased because it had Intel's Rapid Storage Technology onboard, which I planned to use for a RAID 1 mirrored volume over two 4 TB disks.
I had already had these disks set up as a mirrored volume on my old motherboard. Because of the change in operating system and technology, I had to recreate the volume.
I was distressed to see that the only option in the BIOS configuration for creating the volume would destroy all the data. This wasn't a possibility for me because I don't have anywhere to store my 3TB of data while I do this.
I was glad to see that there was a windows GUI application which supported creating a volume without deleting all data. But it hasn't worked for me despite trying many things and searching through this forum for hours. It's also pretty distressing to see the huge number of people posting here, over years, about "unknown errors". Why hasn't the software been updated to give more informative error messages?
Anyway, I am one of those people. When I go to create the volume while preserving data I get the "unknown error" message (attached) and the creation fails (although the software claims success). Then the target drive (the one without the data) is marked as "unavailable" and no longer shows up in the disk manager. I was able to remove this condition with the RST tool, but that just brought me back to where I started. I am using version 16.0.2.1086 which I have verified as compatible with my motherboard: PRIME Z370-A Driver & Tools | Motherboards | ASUS USA
I followed the instructions in this thread: xA005005D Error when Trying to Convert Non-RAID System Drive to RAID1 and Preserve Data
First by shrinking the volume I was sourcing the data from, which first caused the system to be unable to boot, necessitating reverting to a system restore point. The volume was split however (which you can see in my screenshot of the drive management attached), but still the RST failed to create the volume in the exact same way as before.
Then I attempted to use the software linked (RST v 11.7.0.1013) as a second option, which caused me to be unable to boot, and I had to revert to a system restore point. Note I uninstalled v.16.0.2.1086 before installing v.11.7.0.1013.
I've also verified that RST (and nto AHCI) is enabled in BIOS.
I can't find any more information about this issue in the boards. I am attaching an image of the error message, an image of my disk management, a system support utility report, and a RST system report.

I hope you can help me understand the behavior of the 8265 wireless card.
Recently I was testing my wireless configuration. The previous config was only using 20MHz per AP. I wanted to change the channel width to 40MHz on my 11ac. On my WLC I set my AP to 40MHz. The AP summary seemed to be correct since the APs showed channel bonding. The frequency showed on my Acrylic WiFi Home seemed to be correct too, the AP bonds 2 channels.
I tested the 40MHz channel width with 3 laptops, 1 Thinkpad T480S and 2 Thinkpad T470S. Both T480S and T470S are using Intel 8265, with T470S running on 20.10.0.6 and T480S running on 20.10.2.2. Only 1 T470S is able to 'read' the 40MHz, while the other 2 still 'read' the 20MHz. I know this by speed indicated on WiFi Status. Any idea why? All settings are the same. The only setting I could think of to impact this is Fat Channel Intolerance, which is I already disabled.

The Problem is: Only 1 of 4 Intel SSD show up in BIOS.
I tried it with both the Asus Hyper M2 X16 card and the Asrock Ultra Quad M2 Card. I tried all 16x pcie slots, set to vroc mode in bios. I also tried different Bios versions and to populate only half of the m2 slots etc. I also tested the m2 drives individually, they are working.
I read about this problem before, but I found no solution yet and i am running out of ideas.
What makes it especially frustrating is the lack of information. All i find are scattered forum posts here and there. I still dont know for sure if you can use other SSD brands or not, but to be on the safe side i bought intel SSD's.
I bought the more expensive Premium HW Key too, to have all options available. Only to read a few weeks later somewhere, that this keys do not work on x299, quote Intel:
„The X299 will be compatible with Intel SSD's and will need the VROCISSDMOD, can be used with the mentioned purpose. Other keys are compatible with server systems.“
Information like this should be everywhere x299 VROC is promoted, at least on the mainboard box/manual. Odd enough i have to buy vroc keys separately from strange little vendors. I read somewhere the VROCISSDMOD for example was at 10 bucks in the beginning and i still find offers for around 25 on the internet. But the price skyrocketed on most vendors, at least the ones shipping to germany and i have to spend another 150 Euro which makes it 300 now for keys only. If Intel gets still only 10 dollars from that, it makes no sense. It should be included with a 1700 Euro CPU or a 500 Euro Mainboard or 1500 Euro Intel SSD's.
But the drives should show up without a key in pass-through mode anyway.. right?
I talked to Intel support before buying the workstation because i did not know where to get the HW keys. They were motivated to help, but did not know the answer and sent me some VROC papers after the call. But as i learned later on, these were for server systems only.
Not sure if i can still return the hardware after weeks of testing and waiting but if this also leads nowhere i will definitely try. I think i have a chance because the marketing regarding x299 VROC is kind of misleading. And so is the implementation on the Asus WS Sage board by the way. I bought it to have enough pcie slots for other cards but if you activate vroc mode in bios, half of the slots get locked for storage.

with the new Windows 10 Featureupgrade comes the new Problems. :-(
We use the Intel Unite Hub with Full Screen Room Mode = Off.
In this mode the Desktop of the Hub is most of Time Black after the start of the Intel Unite Hub Software.
Sometimes i can see the Desktop but i cant use the Mouse on the Desktop.
I think the Software makes a Overlay over the Windows Desktop.
With Windows10 1803 this make trouble.
The Mouse works over the Taskbar. ;-)
All 6 Hubs works with Dell Optiplex Hardware.
Can anybody help us?

If you loop 'main' 5 times in the decode sampel, adding the call to Pipeline.Close(); on each iteration
(also add UnregisterClass(m_sWindowParams.lpClassName, GetModuleHandle(NULL)); in CDecodeD3DRender::Close())
You see the attached memory leaks.
It is very common for a window to host a number of different streams for decode.
This is a simple test to illustrate the leaks, in our released code the structure is more defined for purpose but we see the same leaks.
ie, our window is never actually closed.

I've downloaded and unzipped all of the TENSORFLOW* 501 lessons but weeks 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 don't have a .pdf or .ipynb in them as expected and just contain .xml files. Can you download them elsewhere?
I am new to Intel RealSense products and the SDK. With my new camera D415, I am trying to create a new visual studio project on 3d scanning. First I tried to build and compile the samples given when I installed the SDK on my Windows 10, for example the pointcloud project with rs-pointcloud.cpp. The samples are running well with no errors. Then, to take a step further, I tried to build my first project by referencing the documentation: Intel® RealSense™ SDK 2016 R2 Documentation.
I was experimenting on Example 74 shows a typical 3D scanning program using SenseManager (Algorithm Modules> 3D Scan> Coding 3D Scanning). However, it was not working as PXCSenseManager was not found. In the doubt of not linking nor including the required dependecies correctly in my VS project, I copied the lines in Example 74 to the samples provided (in the installation directory, which is working). The same problem arises:
Meanwhile, most of the other examples given in the documentation seems to be using a lot of identifies with a "PXC-" prefix, but none of these can be used in my project. Upon a quick search on this community and google, I have found the reason is the "pxc_.h" headers are missing in my path. However, I could nowhere find such header files in my installation directory, nor the source codes I downloaded from your github repo GitHub - IntelRealSense/librealsense: Intel® RealSense™ SDK .
Is there anyone who knows how to solve this problem or where to find those headers, or who had also faced similar problems like me?

I have a small form factor HP Elitedesk 800 G3, with on-board Intel HD graphics 630, running Windows 10. I bought the machine new in Feb this year and it was running fine until about 10 days ago, when the graphics display went haywire. Specifically, it displays jpg and bmp files in a distorted manner, with a reduced colour set, colour shifting and scan lines on some images. This is consistent viewing photos of my own, stock Windows desktop images, and jpg images displayed on remote sites using MS edge. The rest of the display looks perfectly normal, including desktop icons, Windows 'tiles', Settings pages, etc. I am using ver 23.20.16.4849 of the graphics driver.
I'm not sure this is relevant, but for completeness, I should mention that after this problem arose, I ran HP diagnostics on the machine and found the system SSD had a fault. The SSD was RMA'd by HP, and I have run the HP restore process to reinstall Windows. But the problem returned immediately. Updating the driver made no difference.

When I run SSD Optimizer I get the error message RAID Array Detected.
Trouble is I don't have a RAID Array.

I’ve come across a need to hotplug PCI devices between dom0 and domU using SR-IOV NIC. But I'm experiencing problems when trying to detach VF more than one PV guests.
I can attach VF to DomU successful as follow:

But when I can't detach VF and it report errors as follow:

I'm running in Ubuntu 14 using Xen-4.6. I have tested in other machine using the same environment but encountering the same problem.

Ethernet Adapters: Intel Ethernet Connection X722 LOM (Two SFP+ ports)

i40en driver version: 1.5.8

Both ethernet ports are connected to Juniper EX4550 Virtual Chassis (Junos version 12.3R9.4).
Switch ports are in trunk mode with native vlan.

After server boot up ESXi show only one X722 port which is online and port pass traffic. When I assign vlan tag to this interface (also changing ip addresses) then port is online but no traffic.
By default dcbx protocol is enabled on all switch ports:
set protocols dcbx interface all
I disabled dcbx protocol on ports where ESXi server is connected:
set protocols dcbx interface xe-0/0/15.0 disable
set protocols dcbx interface xe-1/0/15.0 disable
After server reboot ESXi show two X722 ports which are online and vlan tag assignment is working.
Is this the i40en driver problem?
